What does ₽ mean?
₽ is the sign of the Russian ruble (RUB). The Central Bank of Russia chose the design in December 2013: a Cyrillic Р (er) with a horizontal stroke. Unicode added it in version 7.0 in 2014.
In Russian the sign follows the number after a space: 1 500 ₽, with a space as the thousands separator. Before the sign existed, prices were written with the abbreviation “руб.” or “р.”, and both are still common. Russian keyboard layouts on current systems include it; elsewhere, copy it here or type 20BD then Alt + X in Word.
