Privacy policy

SymbolHub has no accounts and its tools run entirely in your browser. This policy explains the limited data that analytics and advertising partners collect.

Summary

  • Text you type into our tools (fancy text, lookup, converters) is processed in your browser and is never sent to us.
  • We use Google Analytics to count visits, and we show ads from third-party networks. Both use cookies or similar technologies.
  • Your theme choice, recently copied symbols and copy tray are stored only in your own browser.

Information we collect

We do not ask for your name, email address or any account details. When you visit, our hosting provider records standard server logs (IP address, browser, pages requested, time) for security and troubleshooting, kept for a limited period.

Data stored on your device

SymbolHub uses your browser's local storage for: your light or dark theme (sh-theme), your recently copied symbols (sh-recent) and, for the current session only, the contents of the copy tray (sh-tray). This data never leaves your device, and you can clear it at any time in your browser settings.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are useful. It collects information such as pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type. Google's use of this data is described in Google's privacy policy. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.

Advertising

SymbolHub displays ads from third-party networks, currently Adsterra and ProfitableRateCPM, and may use Google AdSense in future. These partners may use cookies, web beacons and similar technologies to show ads and measure their performance, which can include information about your visits to this and other websites. Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in the EU and UK, or the CCPA in California), you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Because we do not hold accounts, most data is held by our analytics and ad partners; you can exercise your rights with them directly, or contact us and we will help.

Children

SymbolHub is a general-audience reference and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
