What does ฿ mean?
฿ is the sign of the Thai baht (ISO code THB). It is a capital B with a vertical stroke. Unicode places it in the Thai block, with the official name THAI CURRENCY SYMBOL BAHT. In Thai writing, prices are often given with the word บาท after the number, while English menus and tourist prices use ฿120.
Before the bitcoin sign ₿ was added in 2017, many people borrowed ฿ for bitcoin. That is misleading today; use ₿ or “BTC” for crypto amounts and keep ฿ for Thai prices. Thai keyboard layouts have a dedicated key for it.
