What does ∧ mean?

∧ is logical AND: P ∧ Q is true only when both P and Q are. It is called the wedge, and in other fields it means the meet of a lattice or the wedge (exterior) product of vectors. Programmers write the same operation as && or the keyword and. The caret ^ on the keyboard is a common stand-in, but in many languages ^ is bitwise XOR, so the substitution can mislead.
